The Day-After-Day Theatre Company celebrates 34 years with this years performance of:
Newsies!
Day-After-Day Theatre is a huge part of our curriculum. Our D.A.D. Theatre company started in 1990 and continues to present day. Our productions begin in February with the "announcement" of the musical. Our youngest students; Kindergarteners, first and second graders, are part of our "Ensemble". Our older students, 3rd through 6th grade are given lines, with the older students, as the major characters in the musical.
We take great pains in rewriting the script to ensure that our older students have roles within the selected musical. There are opportunities for students to work on: set design, props, backstage, lighting, etc. Our students truly learn the ins and outs of Theatrical Production. Rehearsals are held Tuesdays and Thursdays during the months of April and May. The musical opens (and closes) the first Friday in June - on the Day Middle School Stage.
