Bill Young
Artistic Director/Program Coordinator Bill has been with D.A.D. since 1993. He served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Italy. Prior to joining the D.A.D. teaching staff, he taught Art in Bermuda and at St. Clement High School. He is responsible for the annual Haunted House and coordinating activities for our students 8-12 years old. He also designs and constructs the backdrop and sets for our annual musicals. In addition to D.A.D. he is a basketball and volleyball coach for the Cambridge Program for Individuals with Special Needs and helped lead the Men's Basketball team to a State Championship. Billy works at Horace Mann as ISS. |
Matt Vello
Sports Specialist Matt has been a member of the teaching staff since September 2003 and is an alum of D.A.D. Since May 2010 Matt has been a member of the Newton Fire Department (Station 2) and we are very fortunate that Matt continues his work at Day-After-Day while also being a dedicated member of the Newton Fire Department. He also acquired his EMT Certification from Boston University. He is part of the design team, and does the construction for our annual Musicals and Haunted House. Matt is Day-After-Day's field trip coordinator, researching and planning unique and entertaining trips for the program. Matt also coordinates our Ski program with Nashoba Valley Ski Area. |

Micaela Vecchione
Kindergarten Coordinator Micaela is also a D.A.D. alum, she has been a member if the staff since 2012. Micaela graduated from Lasell University in 2020 with a Bachelor's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She has her Teacher Certification through the Department of Early Childhood and Care. As our Kindergarten Coordinator Micaela creates curriculum for our kindergarteners, to enrich their social emotional learning. Micaela is the Director of our annual musicals. She also coordinates our Ski program with Nashoba Valley Ski Area. |
Meghan Doherty
Teacher This is Meghan's third year at Day-After-Day. Meghan graduated from Stonehill College in 2021 with a Bacholer's Degree in Early Childhood Education and American Studies. She is a Second grade teacher at Plympton Elementary School in Waltham and will be joining us at D.A.D. three days a week. Meghan is excited to encourage our students' learning through play, after their school day. She is looking forward to all of the fun clubs and activities at D.A.D.! |

Alethia Matthews
Teacher Alethia works at D.A.D., when her day ends at Horace Mann as a behavior therapist. She earned her Associate's Degree in Business Management in 2009 and her Bacholer's Degree in Psychology in 2012. This is Alethia's fourth year with us and she is looking forward to all the clubs our students will be creating. Alethia is also excited about our yearly haunted house and musical at the end of the year. |
Stacy Louissaint
Teacher This is Stacy's third year at Day-After-Day. She earned her Bachelor's in Health Psychology from MCPHS University in 2017, and is working on earning her Master's in Psychology from Harvard Extension School. Stacy works at Horace Mann during the school day as a behavior therapist. Stacy has enjoyed interacting with the students and listening to their stories. She enjoys her time on the playground, where students are excited to show her their tricks. Stacy is very excited to see all the creative clubs out students run and to see all their hard work in the annual musical. |

Michelle Magno
Teacher Michelle is a former Horace Mann kindergarten teacher, she is thrilled to be back in the Horace Mann community for her third year at Day-After-Day. Michelle earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Art Education from Bridgewater State in 2019, and her Master's in Education from Framingham State in 2019. Michelle is now a kindergarten teacher at Memorial Spaulding. She is looking forward to getting to know everyone at D.A.D., and being a part of all the fun traditions at D.A.D. like the Thanksgiving feast, sports leagues, and the Musical. |
Justin Walker
Teacher Justin works at Horace Mann as a Paraprofessional and this is his third year at D.A.D. He graduated in 2020 from Umass Amherst with a Bachelors in Music Business and Studio Engineering. Justin is very excited for all of the different clubs at D.A.D. He really enjoys that there is a large variety of interests at D.A.D. and that there is an opportunity for everyone to be involved. |

Meghan Vecchione
Teacher Meghan is a D.A.D. Alum this is her fifth year working at D.A.D. Meghan is also working at NECP as a classroom aid, and at Creative Steps teaching Dance. Meghan graduated in December 2023 from Bridgewater State University with a Bachelors in Dance with a concentration in Special Education. Meghan has been the Musical choreographer and enjoys creating dances with the students for the musical. Meghan also goes on the ski trip to Nashoba Valley Ski Area a program she participated in as a student. |
Ben Galgano
Teacher Ben is joining us for his second year at D.A.D. Ben is working at Horace Mann during the school day. An alum of the program he is excited to ref basketball games, play gym games, and overall have fun. Ben graduated from the University of Redlands in 2018 with a Bachelors in English Literature. |

Danielle Phinney
Teacher Danielle is joining us for her third year at Day-After-Day. She currently teaches English at Saint Johns School in Wellesley. Danielle received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Saint Anselm College in 2018, she went on to receive her Masters of Art in Elementary Education from Simmons University in 2020. Danielle is very excited to help with our annual musical, and is a member of corgi club. |
Lauren Minerva
Teacher Lauren is joining us for her first year at Day-After-Day. She currently teaches at Plympton Elementary School in Waltham. Lauren graduated from Providence College in 2019 with a Bachelors in Elementary and Special Education, She went on to get her Masters from St. Josephs University in 2023 in Special Education and Reading Intervention. Lauren is excited get to know our students and experience all the different activities we offer at D.A.D. |
