Diana A. Erba
Executive Director Diane has been with Day-After-Day since 1979. She started as the Head Teacher and became Executive Director in 1983. She grew up in Newton, and is a graduate of Newton South High School. Diane holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education and Administration from Boston College and an Undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Rhode Island College. During the course of Diane's career, she has been a coed Resident Camp Director at Camp Nawaka in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. Diane also worked at Boston College with a Senior/Freshman mentoring program (48 Hours). She is very fortunate and proud that she has had opportunities to work within the entire educational spectrum, from Kindergarten to College/Graduate students. In September 2009, she was awarded a Proclamation for 30 years of teaching from Governor Deval Patrick, and former Newton Mayor David Cohen, proclaimed September 26th as Diana Erba Day in the City of Newton. Diane feels her greatest accomplishment is that the majority of her teaching staff are Day-After-Day Alumni. Diane is the Director of our annual musical and takes great pride in ensuring that every child at D.A.D. has the opportunity to participate in a major theatrical production, from back stage to on stage. |
Greg Mann Assistant Director A Day-After-Day alum himself, Greg has been dedicated to the program since 2000. He is a graduate of UMass Amherst, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Spanish. He also earned his Master's of Education in Organizational Management and his administrator license through Endicott College. Greg took on the role of Assistant Director and Kindergarten Coordinator in 2015. During his tenure as a sports specialist, Greg started very popular and successful soccer, football, basketball and cross country leagues that involve many of our students in grades 1-6. Greg is the Director of the Newton Public Schools summer program, S.P.A.C.E. Camp (Summer Program for Academic and Creative Endeavors), for students entering kindergarten through ninth grade. |
Bill Young
Artistic Director/Program Coordinator Bill has been with D.A.D. since 1993. He served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Italy. Prior to joining the D.A.D. teaching staff, he taught Art in Bermuda and at St. Clement High School. He is responsible for the annual Haunted House and coordinating activities for our students 8-12 years old. He also designs and constructs the backdrop and sets for our annual musicals. In addition to D.A.D. he is a basketball and volleyball coach for the Cambridge Program for Individuals with Special Needs and helped lead the Men's Basketball team to a State Championship. This is Billy's second year working as a paraprofessional. |
Matt Vello
Sports Specialist Matt has been a member of the teaching staff since September 2003. Since May 2010 Matt has been a member of the Newton Fire Department (Station 2) and we are very fortunate that Matt continues his work at Day-After-Day while also being a dedicated member of the Newton Fire Department. He also acquired his EMT Certification from Boston University. He is part of the design team, and does the construction for our annual Musicals and Haunted House. Matt is Day-After-Day's field trip coordinator, researching and planning unique and entertaining trips for the program. |
Keith Testa
Sports Specialist Keith is a D.A.D alum, and began working with the program in 2008. Keith graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication in 2019. Keith runs the soccer and basketball leagues at Day-After-Day that are available to the students in 1st through 6th grade every year. Keith also works at Horace Mann as an ISS staff member. |
Micaela Vecchione
Kindergarten Coordinator Micaela is also a D.A.D. alum, she has been a member if the staff since 2012. She will be graduating from Lasell University this May. She will receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She has her Teacher Certification through the Department of Early Childhood and Care. Micaela has assumed our "coveted" position of Kindergarten Coordinator! Micaela is very excited for this new role; as we all are! |
Toyin Shekoni
Teacher Toyin has been a member of the teaching staff at Day-After-Day since 2017. Toyin is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development in Children and Families. She also earned her Master's degree from Capella University in Psychology with a focus in Applied Behavioral Analysis. She is also an alumni of the Americorps. Toyin is pro-active with the arts and crafts projects at D.A.D. Her "Slime club" is very popular among the students. Toyin also works as a Behavioral Therapist at Horace Mann and commutes from Central Falls, Rhode Island everyday! |
